Doug Wilkerson

Doug joined Byonyks, Inc. as a chief operating Officer in November 2022. With a strong background in Electrical and Software Engineering, Doug’s career journey has been marked by a series of notable achievements and contributions across various domains.
Early in his career, Doug participated in the Cooperative Education Program at Caterpillar Tractor Company in Peoria, IL, gaining valuable experience as a Software Systems Engineer. 
His work on Baxter’s 1st APD device, Pac-X, and Pac-Xtra earned his team the prestigious Baxter Global Technical Achievement Award.
Doug’s expertise led him to the role of Lead Systems Designer for Baxter Home Choice, where he played a pivotal role in developing one of Baxter’s most successful devices. His team’s efforts were recognized with the Baxter Corporate Distinguished Technical Contribution Award.
As Project Manager for Baxter BIOStat (Online Urea Monitor), Doug’s leadership resulted in the approval and successful launch of Product 510K. Later, as VP of Product Management at Aksys Ltd, Doug was instrumental in taking the company public, achieving 510K approvals, and overseeing successful product launches.
Doug’s reputation for excellence continued to grow as he served as an invited speaker at the 17th Annual Conference on Dialysis, where he shared insights on remote monitoring. As the Research & Development Director at Mettler Toledo AutoChem, Doug managed global R&D locations, spearheading multiple successful product launches in drug discovery.
in his role as Director of Program Management for Baxter Sharesource, Doug led a team that achieved global launch in 26 countries. The team’s accomplishments were recognized with the Project of the Year from Baxter PMO in 2015, and the Chicago Innovation of the Year Award and Baxter CEO Award in 2017.

Doug’s passion for innovation led him to establish PEC Consulting LLC, where he continues to make a positive impact. His expertise in Program Management Consulting was evident during his time at Pfizer and Defibtech, where he led significant projects and process improvements.
Most recently, as Program Director at AbbVie, Doug played a crucial role in the replacement of the Regulatory Information Management System.
Now, as a valued member of the Byonyks team, Doug continues to embrace change and drive positive transformations in the industry. With an impressive track record of achievements, Doug Wilkerson is an experienced leader, making his mark on the world of medical technology and beyond.
